Sbox

Sbox ? a dedicated system for controlling, measuring and recording microclimate parameters; protection against power failures.

The Sbox system meets the market demand of the sector concerned with the maintenance of stable microclimate conditions, important for the process of storage in closed spaces.

System use

The system has been developed for:

  • refrigerators, freezers (temperature measurement)
  • cryostats (temperature measurement)
  • storehouses, rooms (temperature and humidity measurement)
  • incubators, live bacterial cultures (temperature and humidity measurement)
  • applications that require measurements of temperature and humidity
  • applications that require measurements of carbon dioxide level, pressure, illuminance*

Technology

  • ARM microcomputer,
  • GSM modem,
  • LI-Ion UPS battery,
  • Wireless battery-powered measuring modules,
  • Management support software

System functions

The system provides remote reading of key parameters and notifies the user of the following random incidents:

  • the door to the protected space remains open for too long,
  • power failure in the protected space,
  • change of temperature ? going outside the defined range,
  • change of space humidity ? going outside the defined range,
  • change of the carbon dioxide level and other parameters to values outside the range defined by the user.*
  • monitoring parameters in closed space / closed spaces within one facility.

The system is additionally supported with a Web application which allows Clients to remotely control the protected space in an integrated manner. It automatically reports alarms via text messages sent to a mobile number specified by the user, and immediately updates the status information on the integrated management Web site.

Key system advantages

  • measurement accuracy, technical reliability, user friendliness,
  • remote measurement, digital data transmission, central reading, recording of measurement results,
  • easy transfer of measurement results to a standard PC,
  • possibility to make the measuring system cooperate with a computer network, an intranet or the Internet,
  • signalling the cases of exceeding adjustable alarm thresholds and emergencies

Specifications

  • Battery-powered measuring modules (3.3V batteries), a data collector (unstabilized direct current, voltage range: 5-16 VDC)
  • In-built Li-Jon: 1400 mAh battery, which allows for an uninterrupted operation of the data collector for up to 12 hours when the input power source fails.
  • Average power consumption when on: max. 1W
  • Maximum instantaneous power consumption (data transmission): max. 3W
  • Working temperature range: between -20oC and + 70oC
  • Wireless data exchange
